What if I told you that almost every effort you made in the past to chase for the best beer was irrelevant and didn’t matter in the end? This is how @theanswerva made me feel when I had the best damn beers I’ve had in my life in a single spot this past weekend. During the two days I visited, there were only two IPAS in the menu and thank sweet lord baby jebus because I’m tired of everyone trying to do the same shit and have a menu full or 90% full of IPAS. The Answer basically does what they want and while I was there I was basically handing 4-5 star ratings to every single beer I had. Everything they had was either killer/genocidal level or God tier. The experience made me question my whole beer “career” and made me wonder why the hell am I chasing IPAS when I like other styles better? I am absolutely jealous of the people who call this spot their local brewpub. I’d move to Richmond just to be local to them, that is how great this spot is. Locale is amazing, food is great and of course the beer is making me pray for them to bottle or do Crowlers of dark beers more often. I had other beers and food after my second visit but couldn’t get the taste of Haun Solo (milk stout with hazelnut and Toasted coconut) off for the whole night. It was amazing and holy shit I don’t care about other beers anymore 😭😭😭. I’ll be making trips in the future planned around visiting them, that’s for sure.
